Family "Rec"reation-

After a long day of work, most people would prefer to go home and rest, put their feet up, eat a little dinner and watch some t.v. I, on the other hand, would rather go with my overly excited children and husband to the rec center with all of the Jones Paint and Glass crew for a little wholsome family entertainment, and fun company... but then...
It also turned out to be the Glines 2nd ward summer party. Not my own ward mind you, but Jared and Ross's ward, the guys I work with. Now, anyone who knows me knows I'm not too comfortable in a swimming suit, so I watched from the sidelines and visited with all the friends I had there with me. Every once in a while, I'd walk around the pool to check on the kids, beings that my cute husband was so excited to go down the big water slide and off the high dive... on one such occasion, I became the target of much splashing and throwing of water... such fun! Hmmmm. This was actually started by a good friend- once- Keri Brown and continued by the very people who are supposed to be on MY TEAM! It must not carry on outside of work, but thank you anyway, Jared, Ross, and Luke for making me slosh around in my jeans the rest of the evening. I may as well have worn a swimming suit, my clothes were wet enough to stick to the places I didn't want anything stuck to, and I was more uncomfortable than if everyone got an eyeful of me in a wet swimming suit. Ew.
I must say though, it was fun. It was a blast to have so many people there that I knew and was able to talk to. Mel, if you are reading this, Nancy had her new baby there and she is soooooo beautiful! And still just a tiny thing too! My kids had a blast, and even though I did remember the camera, the memory card was still at home in the computer. I know, typical right? One of these days I'll get my stuff together!

Sounds like a ton of fun, but I'm with you on the whole swimsuit thing. I figure if I think it looks bad why would I subject innocent bystanders to that horror. I figure I birthed four babies which is four more than my husband or any other male in the room and if I don't want to wear a swimsuit I have earned the right!! Its too bad I cant' get Matt in on that too.
