Christmas #2- My Home for the Holidays...

Since the weather was a little too scary to travel in on Christmas day, we decided to wait till Saturday to go back to Springville to visit my parents. The kids were so excited to see Grandma and Grandpa- little did they know what else was waiting for them there!

My darling nephew Cole turned 3 on the 28th. The family all met at Brick Oven in Provo for dinner to celebrate. I don't know how many people are familiar with the restaraunt, but if you ever go to Provo, it's a great place to eat, the food is wonderful, and they even had entertainment for the kids! This totally weird, but talented guy went around making balloons for all the little heathen children being naughty, to try to make them happy, I'm sure. After dinner, we went to my brothers house to have McQueen cake and ice cream. Cole was so cute, and totally exited to be having a birthday. He had the present thing down!
After that, we went back to Grandma and Grandpa's house for more presents! The kids were totally spoiled again! Jon and I were spoiled too- my parents love Christmas! However, I don't think they love me anymore, or they just find joy in torturing me- just look what Ali got...The thing talks, is motion activated, and programable. We found out that it even lets stinkers...but it's OK right? Cause it says "excuse me." Yeah... But, she loves it. It goes everywhere with her. I guess anything that will keep her busy for longer than 5 minutes I can deal with. I guess. Gage got spoiled rotten as well, but can't be normal right now for a picture, so this is him, posing with his new toys.My mom and dad gave me some of the neatest things also. I was given a picture of Christ with a little baby that looks EXACTLY like my little neice Abby. It's beautiful and I'll treasure it forever. They gave me a Jim Shore Christmas figurine of Santa's sleigh pulled by his reindeer- I LOVE IT! I told my mom I envy her collection- and ever since, they've been adding to mine! My mom brought me a necklace from Africa that is beautiful, I got a hot cocoa maker that I've already used about 8 times! and that's not even all of it... I told you I was spoiled!
Western Living was closed today, and since I usually work on Mondays, it was a nice day to have off with my kids! It extended our long weekend, and we took advantage of it! Once again, we went to the golf course for some serious shredding. OK, sledding...but it was WAY fun! Check out the pictures!

you were spoiled! I'm glad you had fun and were able to spend time with family. We had Christmas at home too, and it was great, although very quiet. Your kids are darling and I'm glad to hear your doing well.

Love the pic of Ali wit the tears streaming down her face. You were spoiled. My parent's are useless when it comes to holidays and birthdays. It was fun seeing you at the golf course. We need to get together and do something, formally. See ya
