Almost Good Enough...

After exhausting all of my excuses, Jon actually dug up the softball mitt out of the unpacked boxes in the basement, and proceeded to throw it at me- therefore hinting ever so subtly that I needed some "fresh air". After all was "said" and done, I decided completely on my own to go to my softball games tonight. Why not right? I get to hang out with my cute friends, play a little ball and engage in some friendly competition....right? I love competition and I'm realizing now that the older I get the more competitive I get...I had a blast!

HOWEVER, I have a permanent charlie-horse in my middle toe, so if you look at my foot right now, don't take offense to it's obscenity. ALSO, my legs are going to be immovable in the morning, I can feel them molding themselves to the chair as I sit. It will take everything left in me to go back upstairs to bed...I know this. My knees even hurt a little and I'm a even a tad hunched over cause my back feels like it could give out at any moment. My throat hurts because in all my competitive-ness I think I lost my voice- and, along with a few others on the team, thankfully, I can't hold things in the way I used to either, and the bathrooms at the ball park are a half mile from the field and pitch black- so balance and aim take on a whole new meaning. We are a great team though, this being our first year together. I play first base, and had zero errors, except for the pop-fly I missed- that was a bit embarrassing... yeah, I talk the talk... I did however totally screw up as short stop...I was told to "cover Lacey" and was a little taken aback when I realized that both second and third basemen were named Lacey, and yes, I was supposed to cover both of them when they had to leave their base! Oh well, here's to the learning curve and the start of another softball season! Bring it!

Don't you just LOVE the warmer weather and being able to start the riggeris exercise routines again. I swear I had to jump up out of bed 4 or 5 times last night to squelch the charlie horses last night! OUCH! Watch the ball...it's not like you to miss a pop fly!lol. Sounds like your mom doesn't it. LOVE YOU!

Why am I not surprised by your response. You are so funny and way motived! Good for you. I actually remember a time when I was like that. Now, I love to read and I also consider my excerise a great downtime or cleaning without kids. It use to be I couldn't sit still long enough to enjoy reading. Would you say then that blogging, cleaning, creating, and etc... would be your downtime or what makes you feel pampered? I am doing a class and want to get imput for a few different reasons. One being ideas, but too I want to get percents and such. Have a great day- being busy:)
