At work we have these notebooks, designed to help us keep our day organized, keep track of the "ups" and sales that we get and to keep a record of the customers we talk to. At the top of the notebook on each day there is a quote, and this one is todays.

Lately, I've been feeling like I can't do anything right. There has been a lot of guilt associated with working instead of being home with my kids. I haven't kept up on my housework well at all and I've been feeling rather sick and using it as an excuse. This quote hit me today like a ton of bricks. I'm not doing my part. I've been doing the same thing for years- working, being a mother, wife, housekeeper- why all the sudden is it so hard? And today I get it. Because nothing works unless I do. It's time to get my butt in gear.

Economic slow down or not, there are still a lot of opportunities for personal growth. We have to work to find them, and we all work better when we have a better attitude about it! I have hobbies to develop and friends to spend time with- let alone my family and the love of my life to take care of! There are so many things I take for granted- and today I'm resolving to do a better job of it!
