Lessons learned-

Usually I'm blogging about the day-to-day battles and lessons my children seem to always have to learn the hard way, but today, I'm the one being schooled.

Lesson #1- Sleeping in is possible, but only on the days you have to be somewhere at 8:30am, preferably showered, dressed and ready for the day.

Therefore, don't sleep in... EVER.

Lesson #2- When your child asks for a gallon ziploc bag, make sure to ask him what it's for, or you too will have 4 dead prairie dogs rotting in plastic on your front porch.

Lesson #3- Prairie dog open season doesn't start till June 12th. Oops.

Lesson #4- Just because someone tells you they are getting a divorce, doesn't mean they want it out in the open. My mouth is accustomed to having my foot shoved into it, but this one kind of took the cake.

Lesson #5- Softball is much more fun when you WIN! (woot woot!)

Lesson #6- Before you take your friends children to Lowes, make sure they don't have diarrhea.

Lesson #7- The movie Mall Cop is much more enjoyable watching it with you're children, who actually might think it's funny.

Lesson #8- Never take a kitten home that isn't box trained. No matter how cute and tiny it is.

Lesson #9- When you're daughter tells you she has an owie on her head that "moves," make sure to check it out right away.

and Lesson # 10- The proper way to extract a tick once it's burrowed into said daughters head, is to grasp it with tweezers as close to the scalp and the head of the bug as possible and pull... no hot needles or vaseline. Thanks mom! (I guess we could have googled it too, but we both kinda freaked.)
