I know, who would have thought that I would ever become domestic enough to actually cook for my family right? Would you believe that I cook for 4 families? I've talked about food group before, and I have to say, next month makes a year, and I'm still going strong! Some days are better than others, but my family has been so well fed! We love it! So, I thought I'd start sharing. This week has been amazing! On Monday we had my favorite recipe so far, Maple Praline Chicken. It's crockpot, and so so good, you all HAVE TO TRY THIS!
6 boneless skinless chicken breasts
2 TBSP Cajun seasoning
1/4 C. butter, melted
1/2 C. maple syrup
2 TBSP brown sugar, packed
1 C. chopped pecans
6 oz. pkg. long-grain and wild rice, cooked
Sprinkle chicken with Cajun seasoning. In a skillet over medium-high heat, cook chicken in butter until golden. Arrange chicken in a slow cooker. Mix together syrup, brown sugar and pecans; pour over chicken. Cover and cook on low setting for 6-8 hours. Serve with cooked rice. Makes 6 servings.
Thanks to Cindi Putnam for the awesome recipe! It was so so so good! I love food group!

Sounds YUMMY!!! I will try it as soon as I am home long enough to actually turn the oven on and let it heat up before I have to leave again. What's up with you and yeast?
I loved that one too! You are SUCH a good cook. I am sorry I am the weakling of the group, but I so so enjoy it, so I hope you will all put up with me. See ya (or actually just your house) tomorrow.
