Another Favorite Recipe!

Wednesday is my food group day and I'll be making Teriyaki Chicken. It's a recipe from my neighbor Valerie who is seriously the best cook ever. It's easy, and so yummy. I just put the sauce and a package of boneless-skinless chicken thighs (the thigh meat is so good!) in the crockpot for 4-6 hours on low. Then when the chicken is cooked I just pour everything into a griddle with stir fry veggies until the veggies are done well enough. Make some rice, and you've got dinner done! You may want to double the recipe for the sauce and have some to spoon over the rice and stir fry in case it gets too dry.

You don't have to use the crock pot, you can just stir fry the meat till it's done and then add the veggies too. Whatever the case, it's really good!

¼ cup soy sauce
1 cup water
¼ tsp. powdered ginger or 1 tsp. fresh ginger
¼ tsp. garlic powder or 2 cloves fresh
½ tsp. liquid smoke
¼ tsp. pepper
2 tbsp. honey
1 tbsp molasses

Combine and then thicken with 2 tbsp. corn starch in 1/4 cup water
slowly mix into warm sauce and boil for 2 minutes.

Try it! I know you'll love it!
