Tis the Season!

I'll just say it...IT'S OVER! YAY!!! I wish I were more inclined to be sad that Christmas is past, but unfortunately, this year- I'm not sorry to see it go. It didn't even seem like Christmas to me this year. The hustle and bustle of the holidays got too hectic, too stressful, for me to actually enjoy myself. There wasn't a day that went by that I wasn't trying to catch up! I like being ahead of the game, and next year, I plan on doing just that... I need to start earlier for sure! Usually I have time to do a few crafty things- neighbor gifts, co-worker gifts...just simple things that get me into the spirit of the holidays. I didn't do anything really this year. I made a few treats, but did a lot less than I wanted too, once again- great big intentions...itty bitty follow through.

So, once again, I plan to follow last years "mission statement" as my new years resolution. A little more effort, a little more follow through- and it will continue to be my new years resolution till it finally sticks! A little more effort/follow through with myself- taking care of me. A little more effort/follow through with my family. A little more effort/follow through with my work. I don't know what that would entail this year...but I'm looking forward to finding out what's in store for me.

Christmas was fun for us anyway. Jon got me an e-reader that I can actually read in the dark so as not to keep him up at night. I love how thoughtful he is...he said he knew I'd be sad it wasn't a kindle, but he had done a lot of research on the subject, and he knew this is the one I'd prefer, even if I didn't think so. He was right, it made for a much more enjoyable ride to Springville and back on Christmas day. Now I just need some books to read!

Boy, that has to be my "mission statement" for this next year too. However, I have one small/large problem...I forget, I mean I REALLY forget!

It's hard to believe that a year of build up is over in less than 30 minutes! Looks like you had a great Christmas!
