Day 3- A Picture of You With Your Friends...

I've been a little stressed about this day on the challenge. I have no pictures of me with my friends...not recently anyway. Stay tuned though, I will be posting a few later- I'll be making a better effort to take some!

I enjoy being with my friends. I don't do much- but we go to movies or out to lunch every once in a while. It's always fun to catch up and see what everyone is up to. I actually love being by myself. I have the best kind of friends. The kind that don't get upset if I don't call them for a week- or more- and that can pick up where we left off no matter how much time has passed. I have friends from every period of my life- and I love that. I rarely talk about a friend without saying she's one of my "dearest" or "best" friends. Even the ones I've known for very little time are my best friends for a reason.

I forgot my camera the other night when I went to Bunko. I love being a part of a group of ladies and just going to have fun and play. I had always heard about the game, but never knew what the draw was. Now I understand completely and I have 11 new friends- people I don't hang out with all the time- and some that I only see once a month- but I'm glad I get to. We have so much fun and usually laugh so hard it hurts the next day. I'm also in a card swap with some wonderful and creative ladies. It's a creative outlet for me too- and helps me use the thousands of dollars worth of scrapbooking supplies I might not use otherwise. I play softball in the summer... I love it- and I've made some great friends playing too.

I am totally grateful for good friends. I spent 2 hours on the phone with Melissa tonight and realized once again how much I miss her. Everyone has to have at least one friend that really "gets" who you are and why you are that way. I don't know if anyone would ever even want to know me the way she does! It's like on Grey's Anatomy, how Merideth always calls Christina her "person." Everyone needs their own "person." I've been lucky in my life to have that.

I honestly feel like I have a built-in best friend at home. Jon and I have come a long way in our relationship. I consider him my best friend too- I confide in him and he sees me at my weakest- at my ugliest and he still sticks around. That takes devotion I tell ya!

One of my wonderful friends posted this quote on her blog this morning, she too took on the "challenge" and is also on Day 3. I live by this quote-

"Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.” - Dr. Seuss

I can't believe that you don't have pictures of your friends! You have pictures of all of their kids, families and grandchildren! Get them all together...well that would be hard...and take a picture! There are other people out there that can push a button :)
PS.
I love Dr. Suess. The older I get the more he makes me laugh...at myself!
