Today I took my kids to the bus stop, ready to start a busy day. It's my food group day, the one day of the week that I have to cook- for 3 other families besides mine. It's not so bad, I kind of enjoy it. I think it gets more enjoyable the LESS you have to do it! But anyway, I took the kids to the bus stop and when I came back, I noticed the sun rise. Usually, it would come and go without a second thought- but today I noticed, went home to get the camera and went back to take the picture. I take so many things for granted, and was glad I saw this today- it was amazing to me.
Last week there was an accident down the road from my house. A 12 year old beautiful little girl was hit by a car. The EMT's couldn't find a heartbeat, but brought one back that was just faint enough to get her life-flighted to Primary Childrens Hospital. Today, after problems with her brain swelling, and the horrible bruises on her lungs, Ashley passed away. She was an organ donor, and will be the reason other parents will get to keep their babies here on this earth. My heart aches for this family. It seems like it's been a rough go for a lot of people lately- I only hope things get better. My heart aches for the woman driving the car that struck Ashley too. I don't know who it was, but I do know that it wasn't her fault. It was a horrible accident that happened in the dark of the morning, and now her life will forever be changed. Once again, love your children. Keep them close and don't worry about worrying- it's OK to be a little over-protective. Just another one of those things to never take for granted, how easily it could be taken away!
