A little too much fun maybe?

Our day went by so fast! I had actually forgotten it was the 24th of July this week, what with everything that's been going on. So, when it dawned on me, I started getting excited, even it is just Vernal...
We had so much fun, first going to the parade, we sat with Kandie and "juiced" one of her blankets- I'm still so sorry about that! And the kids got more candy and frisbee's than they really needed. Ali's hair was actually pretty cute too, I can almost hide the mullet look if I part it a little further to the side on one side! We've nicknamed her "Joe-Dirt" cause she resembles him a little. Needless to say, she doesn't love the nick-name!
After the parade, we loaded up our friends Jake and Alex Simons, and their brand new baby Braxton and went to the lake for the day. It was a great day for being in the water! It was so hot! We spent maybe too much time there and now we're all so painfully sunburned, recuperation is definitely part of the next few days schedule!
We decided to BBQ for dinner, and made a quick stop at the store for some meat and other stuff. I think it would have been cheaper to eat out, but man, it was sooo good! I give credit to my man, he cooked a perfect steak tonight! We ended up buying a few fireworks and let them off in front of the house- sadly, Ali couldn't join us because of an extended excursion she'd made to the neighbors grandma's house without telling me. No, honestly, I think I'd rather have her cut her hair. She was so far away that when I found out where she was, I had to DRIVE MY CAR to pick her up. I know, I know, I'm a horrible mom, I should have been checking on her, but she has never done that! EVER! I can't even let her outside anymore without worrying every second where she is! This girl is going to be the death of me. No exaggeration. She had literally walked, bare footed, on the road (4000 South) to Julie Millers house with her little buddy Cooper. They wouldn't have even known except that the car that almost ran them over stopped to see if they belonged to her or her sister! I kept my cool pretty good, but now it's on. What do you do with a daughter like this? I asked her if she wanted a new mom ;) - but she said "sure!" Kill me now.
We did have fun though- even after Ali was sent to bed, we had Wii wars with Jake and Alex, me being the all time loser- go figure. And did fireworks with the neighbor kids outside. We should all sleep well tonight.
