BE POSITIVE!!!

It's definately Christmas. I love the season and the actual Christmas spirit when you can FIND it! I can't believe how much I've been through this December, and that I'm still semi-OK! Not that I have it any worse than anyone else... but sometimes it feels like when it pours, it pours harder. Ya know?

Well, needless to say, finances are tight... as they always are at Christmas time. But this year, they seem to be a little tighter. We're fine, and it's forced me to be better about spoiling the kids. I haven't gotten anything for Jon yet though, and I'm a little stressed about that one! But it's been more than that. I found out yesterday (Monday) that the daycare I've been using is closing after the first of the year. I stress about leaving my kids with anyone else anyway, and it seems like whenever I get comfortable, something like this happens. So, if any of you know of someone or somewhere I can take Ali, one or two days a week and usually for only part of the day, let me know.

Not that it's a bad thing at all, but my sister gets married in the SLC temple this weekend. I am excited for her, and excited to go out there, but the timing has been hard to work around. I've been working everyday this week, trying to do Christmas cards, finish shopping, get everything with the kids, my husband and me ready to go to the wedding- and then what! My brand new car dies in the parking lot at work. So, I have to get it into the dealership while we're in Utah County and hope it's something they can fix in the time we are there. After all this I deserve a day to just sit and catch up on laundry, right? SO WRONG-

The worst of all. Brace yourself, some of you may never look at me the same again. On that fateful day I decide to play catch up and do laundry, the new cat, Po, decided to help me out. He climbed into my dryer (it was full of dry clothes that had sat there all night) and not knowing, I set the dryer to dewrinkle, and now we are a cat-less family once again. I didn't see him get in, and I was extremely traumatised by the whole incident. It breaks my heart to even think about it now... sorry for all of you faint at heart. Maybe I shouldn't tell everyone, but now maybe you all can appreciate my positive attitude a little more. Not that I'm looking for sympathy, but maybe you can all feel better about your stress now too!

I am still determined. Christmas is not supposed to be so stressful, and as soon as we get through the wedding, things should get back to whatever normal is for us. Until then, chin up!

Wow, what a great attitude. You are a real inspiration to me. I think I would be grumpy and snappy with such a tough month. Good job!!! You'll make it a great Christmas for everyone around you.

Steph- Sorry for all the troublesome month but just like you say be positive. Anyway if you would like maybe Ali could come play with Lakyn. Think about it and let me know.. I would love to help if I can.

oh Steph, I'm sorry. I hope things go a little better for you. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.
I remember when we had a super tight christmas, and I gave Brett a book of homemade coupons (things that I would do for him). I was so proud of my creativity and how cute the book looked. It also listed a few things we would buy him over the year. It wasn't all that exciting to open, or read, but he was a good sport about it. Love ya,
mary

What a month you are having! Too bad Vernal is so far away, I babysit kids and I would take Ali in a heartbeat!

I am so sorry about your cat...I am always terrified about that happening...I check the dryer about 50 times before I start it! Poor, poor Po...

I hope things start going better and you can have a Merry Christmas!

I'm sorry to hear about your cat... that's so sad :( I hope everything gets better after the wedding. Weddings are stressful enough even when their not around the holidays! Way to keep a good attitude! You're alot better than me!

Oh my Goodness! You poor, poor thing. You need to send that moment into Letterman. I don't leave comments often, but I still blogstalk your blog from time to time and oh my @@@@ I am so glad I did! I hope your cats name wasn't fluffy!I am not trying to make fun of the situation, I had to get my dog out of a hunters trap a few weeks ago and I am still tramatized! I really am sorry that your cat got hurt and that you had to deal with it, but I guarantee that story will become a legend in your family and probably others.I don't know what it is about this year, but it just sucks all the way around. People always say to look for the good and blah blah blah, but sometimes you just need to have a nervous break down or a stiff drink, but if your like me the best you can do is an extra strength Tylenol and a Jamba Juice with protein booster. Hope you get a moment. I am sure it will get better. We might be coming to Vernal in the spring and stay at the Chez Frew guest house. Maybe we should tell them:) Hope we can meet then. When Justin and his dad came up to here to hunt, I gave him crap for making you blog for them. He says he enjoys harassing you, my condolences. Hope you have a Merry Christmas and a way better New Year!! and survive the process!
