Lo and Behold!

Thank heaven for this blog and the awesome friends I have who read it! Please take note of the time at which these pictures were taken...
Now to explain- I have been at my wits end- literally desperate for an answer. Had I known that it would be as easy as posting it on my blog I would have done it ages (!) ago. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU to the awesome friends I have for reading my blog and offering their advice. LOOK AT THIS!!!!

And she really is ASLEEP!!! Kandice made a suggestion regarding Melatonin and Benadryl. I'd never heard of the first one, so I just tried giving her Benedryl one night, and do you know what? Ali was BOUNCING OFF THE WALLS!!! It seriously made her more hyper than ever, and I had all but given up. I dread bedtime...hate it with a bloody passion because Ali is so HARD to get to go to sleep! Today I got a call from my friend Cheryl, who explained to me what the Melatonin is, told me I could get it at GNC, (it's only like 4 bucks a bottle!) she told me to try one tablet and see how it worked. Did it ever! Within 20 minutes of Ali chewing it, (it tastes like cherries!) this is what she looked like! YAY!! She calmed right down, even told me she was tired and fell right to sleep at 5 after 8! Melatonin is a natural product, it's like spraying lavender oil on their pillow cases to help them calm down...(tried it..) it's something our bodies create anyway, and it's found in all kinds of foods. I can't believe it's so easy! And I don't have to feel guilty about giving it to her! I don't know what to do with myself! THANK YOU KANDICE AND THANK YOU CHERYL!!! (I don't even know if I'm spelling that right- if not, I'm sorry!) So, anyone that struggles as I have- I am recommending this product! I'm hoping there is a "domino effect" too, I notice that Ali gets really sassy and naughty when she is tired. If this helps her sleep naturally, maybe I'll get lucky and I'll see an improvement in her behavior too! One can hope, right?

Do you just give her one tab? My Jordie would benefit from that too.

congratulation & let's hope it continues to work :)
hey, thanks for the info about andrea, we haven't been in touch much, unfortunately.
as far as having another kid, well, let's just say we aren't doing anything to stop it,this one's being a stubborn little booger.

Oh goody!!! I did something good for once!! I am so glad that it worked!!! If she starts tolerating just the melatonin, add in the benadryl, and they benefit each other. For now, just celebrate with the melatonin induced sleepy girl. Hooray!!!

I'm so glad it's working! Hopefully it solves more of your sassy angels attitude. Good luck!
