"Fun Friday"

Honestly, I'm not a big fan of early out day. It seems like it would be better for the kids, and the teachers if it were placed in the middle of the week (as it always was when I was growing up) than on Friday... but by the time Friday comes, my kids are ready to be home and ready for me to entertain them. So what do we do? I've decided to try to do something with them every Friday that's out of our norm. My best friend Melissa has 3 girls, and she does a stay-up-late-and-watch-movies-with-mom night every week- and that inspired me. There is nothing better than spending time with my kids, taking advantage of the times when they still want to be with me. Today we made sugar cookies to share with the neighbors...(if you didn't get any, it's cause you weren't home, so if you want some you have to come and get them now!) We had so much fun, and it really did take the whole day to finish the project!

Jon is finally just starting to feel better. He made it through the whole day at work today, but he's really tired tonight. Yesterday was our 10th anniversary! The note he wrote on the card sums it up, "I can't believe you made it 10 years!" I love you Jon. I love you more every day. Even when you're sick, ornery or both...you are my best friend and the love of my life! Thank you for giving me the life that we share today. Thank you for the beautiful children we have together and for being such an amazing dad! One of these days we'll be able to celebrate an anniversary the way we're supposed to- but it doesn't matter...I couldn't be happier! So, we're trying to make life normal again... we'll see if it's possible to get things back in order after the pigs have ran rampant through the house and each one of us all week!

Congratulations on 10 years!! I special ordered those M&M's that you can put a message on for our
10th. I put 10 Years Of Bliss. Matt thought it said 10 Years of Bills!! Plus, he had no idea what bliss meant!! Priceless...

Bummer, I left for Salt Lake around 2. (the best reason for early Friday) I guess I'll have to make some cookies of my own. Maybe we'll share. Congrats on the 10 years!!!

Hey! Thanks for the cute compliment. I think those cookies look yummy. I think I'll need to make some now! I was thinking about you on your big day but was in the middle of moving and I drove off with my cell phone on the top of the car and it shattered when it hit the road. So.....I didn't call. Sorry! I sent you an email with my new number though. I'm glad Jon is feeling better. Call me when you can. And congrats on your first photo session! They look great
