I can tell you right now, the highlight of my day was Jon coming home! It's been one of those days, and I can usually blame the weather. Today was no exception. Not only did it snow, but my mother-in-law informed me it's record low barometric pressure. I know that has something to do with it, but Ali woke up ornery and got considerably worse throughout the day. I don't think I've been quite as embarrassed as I was out to lunch today- having a 6 year old yelling loud enough to draw everyone's attention. If I'd have taken a poll, I guarantee 99% of the people there would have totally agreed with me beating her in front of them, that dang 1% would have called the cops on me though. Needless to say, she got grounded from her friends and threw a fit about that all the way home. Once home, she threw fits about the shows on TV, the popcorn I made her, basically- whatever she could throw a fit about, she did. Gage too! As soon as he got home from school he started begging for food. After the standard snack, he begged and cried and stomped and screamed...are you kidding me? So when Jon came home upset at the addition of MORE DOG POOP in our front yard (from the neighbors dogs of course...I can keep my dog in the back yard...why can't they?) I thought I was in for it. I was sure I'd have to put up with an entire household of ronch. And then this happened...
What a great dad! Thank you honey! I can tell you right now, it made all the difference in the world- we are now enjoying a mostly peaceful night, only to get that much better with the oncoming BEDTIME!
