A little more...

I'm excited about a new year. It's the perfect time to start things over, make things better, and I plan to do just that. I DO have a resolution this year...but it's more like a theme. Actually more like a mission statement. It's something to remember throughout the day, no matter what I'm doing, or where I am. It's this:

A little more effort, a little more follow through.

This is something I've needed to work on since I could remember. I'm the kind of person who has such wonderful intentions...it's always what I'm planning on doing, what I want to do- what I almost did...and from now on, I want to work on being the one who really did it. Not just that. The things I do - that actually get done - need a little more effort. More attention to the details. This "mantra" works in so many ways. For huge things like my family...a little more effort and follow through when it comes to Family Home Evening, prayer, scripture study. Taking care of relationships that mean most to me...yeah Jon...that's you. Working harder at being a better friend, taking care of myself, enjoying my job (s).

But it's also for the little things. Putting more effort into the day-to-day. Little things like keeping up with the house better, yard work, a garden, cooking dinner, laundry and so many other things. Rather than a resolution, it's a mission statement. No matter what I do, it'll be in the back of my mind- "a little more effort, a little more follow through." (Notice I said -a little- baby steps...) Hopefully you all have some good intentions this year too, here's to keeping up with it!

Right on Stephanie! Anyone can do it if they try to a little bit at a time and stay consistent. I'll be right there working on it with ya!
