Sundays...

I know I've said in the past that I don't love Sundays. Well, people change, right? I have been working on my bad attitude for a while now and I'm learning to love Sundays. We go to church now at 1pm and just like everyone else, it's not our favorite time of day to go, but depending on how we start the day, it works out great!

Today was a little harder than I had expected it would be... The Bishop asked to speak to us again this morning- just one hour before church, (visit #3) and changed up my calling before I even got it! We go to the Naples chapel which isn't too far away, but it isn't close either, and there was no reason to go back home...so 4 hours of church by the time we were done!

Jon and I were originally called as team-teachers for the 16-17 year olds. Honestly I was a little disappointed in the beginning...I had built myself up for a Relief Society calling for a while- mostly because I just wanted to be able to stay in RS on Sundays. It took me a minute to realize that I would be able to stay in RS! And after the initial shock wore off, I was actually excited to work with Jon- even if I would be doing all the work! (Just kidding honey!) So anyway, after all of that, the Bishop asked if I would accept the calling as Compassionate Service Leader instead. What am I supposed to do? I asked for it in the first place didn't I? Am I disappointed? No. Am I thrilled? Hmmmm....I'll let you know. It'll depend on my wards willingness to serve! And believe me when I say, there are plenty of opportunities. After church, I decided I still wanted to make dinner, and I figured I could do it and not be too late. I made a roast, mashed potatoes and gravy, carrots, cornbread and a yummy salad- or as my brothers would argue (and my husband!) it's more of a dessert. It was good, no matter if it was a dessert! While we were waiting for dinner, I took these pictures of my sweet daughter in her element. She was pretending something and totally oblivious till she heard that first click of my camera. Oh well, the pictures are darling. You have to understand though, Ali comes home from church and dresses herself, and does her hair the way she wants to...I promise she didn't look like this for church!
