Music

Today, I am thankful for music. There aren't too many types of music that I don't like- each style making me feel a different way. I play Christmas music all year round in my scrapbook room- it makes me more creative. I play hard core punk rock when I want to work out (so not often...) and I love alternative rock anytime. I've been listening to a lot of country lately, and I love it, but it usually makes me cry. I sat on my couch the other day and sobbed through Lady Antebellum's video for "Hello World." Have you seen it? Wow. If you haven't, you should! You'll have to scroll to the bottom of my blog and hit the pause button on my playlist...

Music can change an atmosphere, a mood and a state of mind with a few notes. My friends have always made fun of me for listening to "elevator" music. I love Nora Jones, Micheal Buble, and all of the old stuff- the Beatles, Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin...it's because it's the help I need to settle down when I'm stressed out...but really, it could be worse!

I played the piano for years. I still enjoy sitting down and trying to plunk out a tune every once in a while, but I'm nowhere near as good as I used to be. I'd like to be better, I'd like to be able to sit down and play anything put in front of me- but then I'd just be the pianist in church, and that's a totally different story!

I love music...and I'm so grateful for it. Can you even imagine a day without it?

Love, love, love all Lady A's music and Miranda Lambert. I really could listen to any kind of music but country is by far my favorite choice. Remember all our made up dance routines to Lionel Richie Dancing on the ceiling? So much fun!!
