I have the opportunity, once a month to give the lesson in Relief Society. I love my calling. Not because it's only once a month, but because I learn more than anyone else I'm sure! I may not be the best teacher, but I love the things I learn and as long as the women put up with me, I'll keep it up! This year we're studying the life and teachings of President George Albert Smith. I am already really impressed with this man! He has a personal creed- and if you haven't read the first lesson in the manual you really should! I first started my personal creed- or "mission-statement" as I called it, 3 years ago... it started with "A little more effort, a little more follow through" and I still say that in my head all the time- but it evolved when I heard the quote from President Hinckley, "Try a little harder to be a little better." I love that- it sums up everything I'm working towards. It also fits perfectly with G.A. Smiths "platform" if you will- that we need to try harder to stick out as a peculiar people... in a good way of course... this is the magnet I had made for the ladies who were there on Sunday- I have some extra if anyone wants one!!!
