S'mores in the Winter!

This is a good one. I found it in a magazine and made it the other night to go with my dinner for food group. Everyone loved them so I thought I'd pass it on...

S'mores Bars

1/2 cup butter, softened
3/4 cup sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 1/3 cups all-purpose flour
3/4 cups graham cracker crumbs
1 tsp. baking powder
1/8 tsp. salt
5 milk chocolate candy bars (although, I only had room for 4 and it was plenty!)
1 cup marshmallow creme

Cream butter and sugar till light and fluffy. Add egg and vanilla; beat well. Combine the flour, cracker crumbs, baking powder and salt; gradually add to creamed mixture. Set aside 1/2 cup for topping.

Press remaining mixture into greased 9" square baking pan. Press candy bars into crust and spread marshmallow cream over top. Crumble remaining cracker mixture over top.

Bake at 350 for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown. Cool on a wire rack. Cut into bars.

They turned out really yummy! You should try them!

I'm gong to make them today! They sound sooooooo good. I have the day off. I thought that I would go to the cabin and clean but, this sounds like a lot more fun!

I should have made these instead of s'more shakes. Only 2 kids and Gary liked them. I'm trying these, I love s'mores.
