A Little Better...

The good news is that the Apple Store fixed my computer for free!  I couldn't believe it!  I was expecting to pay for it, in fact I almost just bought a new computer instead!  Who would have thought?  Not only that, but they pulled it apart, cleaned it out and replaced the cover over the keyboard where I had some dings in it...all for free!  Blown away, I was...

The bad news?  They couldn't retrieve ANYTHING from my old hard drive.  All the pictures, all the songs, all the recipe's (and there were soooo many) are gone.  I am telling you now, if it weren't for this blog, I would have nothing left!  So, here's to starting over.  I've learned a valuable lesson.  Make CD's of every photo shoot and then remove the photo's from the hard drive... Make hard copies of the recipe's and download them to a CD.  Use an external hard drive (thanks for the input everyone!) and register all the software you put on the original hard drive!  If nothing else, this has taught me to be a lot more careful and organized!

But enough about me...did you know I have the best dad in the world?  I know many of you who think you do, but I am telling you now...it's mine.  Happy Fathers Day Dad!  I wish we were closer to celebrate with you.  Thanks for all you do- an awesome Dad and an amazing Grandpa.  I have had a lot of great influences in my life, my Dad being in one of the top spots- my Grandpa's also.  I still have one of my Grandpa's here, and I love him dearly.  He is an amazing example of hard work and perserverence and he blows me away with all he does!  And Jon's dad Duane.  I've gotten to know him more as a Grandfather to my children- and we love him and all he does for us!

But mostly- I see the love my husband has for his kids and it melts my heart.  I never knew I'd cry just watching my daughter snuggle up to her dad on the couch, or get emotional when I see Jon teaching Gage the ins- and outs- of the garage, helping him build things and showing him how to do things around the house.  He is an amazing father- and I love him so much for that.  His love for our children is unconditional, and I know they'll remember that as they grow up.  We love you Jon!  Happy Fathers Day!
