Today- right at this moment- I am grateful that dinner is over and cleaned up. It went off without too many "hitches," but as I assumed I would- I cooked the turkey with the bag of guts in it. I took out the neck and thought that was all there was! I'm pretty sure I did that the last time too! I've never had to make the whole of Thanksgiving dinner all by myself, but I did it today! We had just the standard stuff, had I tried to do more I think my head would have blown up! Besides that, my kids don't eat it! We didn't have the family around us today, so it was a quiet day with Team Tucker! It wasn't bad though- although I prefer having a lot of family around, especially on a day like Thanksgiving. We did include our dog in the festivities. Mya stayed all day in the house and was the sweetest indoor dog ever! Has anyone ever had an indoor Akita? Is it done?

I'm praying for the strength to make it through the weekend. I always feel like it's time to give up retail whenever Christmas rolls around, getting through the next two days is literally half the battle! I have been very blessed that my husband has been able to stay home with our kids on this blackest of Fridays- I can't imagine having to find a babysitter willing to take my kids in the wee hours of the morning on a holiday weekend! Sales is where it's at to make good money, but the sacrifice is extremely evident- and will be more so when I drive to work in the dark tomorrow!

We hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving. If nothing else- what better to be thankful for than Christmas? We've got the tree up and the decorations out!!! Happy Thanksgiving and MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

We missed you guys! I'm glad your dinner turned out great. By the way they are called giblets...NOT guts! You are so WEIRD! Welcome to my world of going to work in the dark...I go in the dark and I come home in the dark. You get used to it. You are way ahead of me on the Christmas decorating. I just haven;t gotten into it this year. I'm not sure why, I think I need help!
