Quick Recap...

Yay! It's over! I! Can you believe Christmas has come and gone already? It really didn't feel like Christmas much, what with the lack of snow and the excess of work. The stress was there though!  I say it every year, but I know I need to be more organized.  I know I need to prepare early, and if I were really smart, saving a bit of money- or shopping early would really help out!

Jon is putting the finishing touches today on one of my Christmas presents.  He put glass tile up the wall of my back splash in the kitchen.  It looks so amazing!  It's a totally new kitchen!  In the process he's had to pull out the oven, so I was able to clean it off- part of my spring cleaning is checked off the list!  It really just makes me want to start doing the rest! (And then I think about all the laundry, bedrooms and dusting that needs to be done as well.)

Jon also gave me a steam and sweep vacuum.  He wasn't very happy about it either.  He thinks it's a bad present to give your wife for Christmas, but I asked for it!  I LOVE it!  I have a little of my mothers blood in me...OK, a lot... and all of my Christmas decorations SPARKLE!  In other words- I have glitter EVERYWHERE!  The steam and sweep is the only thing that picks it up!  And whatever it doesn't pick up it sanitizes, so even the left over sparkles are clean!

The kids were extremely spoiled, Ali got a kereoke machine- for some reason I thought it was a good idea. She doesn't read very fast and she likes to put her mouth directly on the microphone- so the NOISE that comes out is something I'm developing more patience for!  They both got video games and enough board games to keep us playing for the rest of the year!  Ali's La-la-Loopsy doll Santa gave her has definitely been a hit, and Gage has already been snow(dirt)boarding.  He's not been as glued to the video games as I thought he'd be- thank heavens!  I'm just glad he got some stuff he loves.

The trees are down, the Christmas is nearly cleaned up and I'm ready to get on to spring!  We haven't had any snow yet, so why start now?  Lets just skip it all together.  Pictures to come-

Wow, I can't believe that you are all cleaned up! It isn't even New Years yet...I have a ton of stuff to do this weekend but, I don't know if it is going to get done or not. I think I would rather just SLEEP!
