You Are My Sunshine!

Have you paid your fire insurance? Last night I was sitting outside with a friend of mine and the wind shifted just enough that I smelled like campfire and was brushing off a layer of ash when I went in. The sun is a dark red globe by nightfall and I couldn't resist getting a picture...

 I've been looking forward to my FAVORITE holiday- but the fires have dampened my spirits a bit.  Vernal has banned fireworks, except for on the fourth and only in the city park, which means MORE than the usual TONS of people will be there.  We'll just have to get there earlier this year!  We have a new addition to the family as of tonight- so it'll be an even more fun holiday for the Tuckers!  Check out our new boat! OK, so it's new to us- and it was quite the ordeal!  We went and looked at it, and found out (after we got too excited) that someone else had bought it.  Turned out this morning the other guy backed out of it and we got it!  It was meant to be!  I couldn't believe our luck.  Now, unfortunately, it'll be TUESDAY before we get to get it in the water!  {Too bad you didn't come this year David!  You're missin' out!  And yes...that IS your 4-wheeler loaded and ready to go to the mountain!} 

Jon and the kids are headed to the Mountain tomorrow to camp for 3 days without me.  I have to work- (surprise, right?) on Saturday and Monday.  I'm glad they are going there though- it's better than knowing they were on the lake without me!  It's going to be a LONG weekend!  In the meantime- be careful!  Jon was behind a lady who actually flicked her cigarette butt out her window today!  Really?  Where's the common sense?  Stay safe and HAPPY FOURTH!
